Social Worker Partners are currently recruiting for Children with Disabilities Team Manager within Darlington . Ideally you will possess experience of working within a disabilities team, however the council encourage those without to apply.
About the Role:
- Experienced Team Manager for Disabled Children and Young Adults (0-25 years) Life Stages Service The successful candidate must have experience of working within a disabled children’s service and be an experienced Team Manager.
- The successful candidate will carry out duties and tasks associated with the Team Manager role and ensure all assessments undertaken by the Team are Care Act / Children’s Act compliant, based on clear accurate information and analysis, reflect the principles of both strength-based and person-centred approaches and are outcome focussed.
- To ensure Mental Capacity Act assessments are completed by team members when appropriate. The successful candidate will also contribute to ensuring that the Local Authority statutory responsibilities for children and young people aged 0-25 with Special Education Needs and/or disabilities are discharged effectively, as outlined in the Code of Practice, the Children and Families Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
- They will support the development of the Local SEN Offer, identifying and filling gaps in the provision of services, whilst continually developing new ways to improve and promote a graduated response to SEN/disabilities in Darlington.
- They will safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people for whom you have responsibility, or with whom you come into contact, to include adhering to all specified procedures.
