Social Work Partners are currently recruiting for a Children’s Social Worker within Gibraltar. You must be registered with Social Work England to apply for this role.
About the Role:
We require a minimum of three years PQE. The candidates will be placed either into a duty and assessment team, the long term team with Care Proceedings, CIN and CP or in Court Welfare (our version of CAFCASS completing S7 reports). We need qualified and experienced Child Protection Social Workers who are able to hit the ground running with a complex and varied case load.
We have a duty team managing the intake of referrals to the team. We follow the Children Act 2009 Gibraltar which is similar to the Children Act 1989 in the UK. We assess risk and manage cases on a Child In Need and Child Protection basis.
We also have our LAC allocated to SW in the long term team.
We take cases into court to request ICO’s when required, however we do not have the PLO process/ timescales dictated by the UK. We are recruiting more foster carers and are always trying to assess placements with family as an alternative to our Residential Service.
We are a small, but tight knit team who are supportive of each other and work hard to achieve good outcomes for children and young people. We use the Signs Of Safety Strengths based model.
Details of the Relocation Process
Candidates can reside in Gibraltar, and will need to research rentals and whether this is viable. They are able to reside in Spain if they have a Residencia, and can live about 20 minutes away from Gibraltar as they may have to participate in the Out of Hours rota.
A relocation allowance of £700 will be offered
Salary
The salary is £38,587 per annum (pro-rata) on an 11 month fixed term contract; conditioned to 37 hours per week
