Social Work Partners are currently recruiting for a Children’s Social Worker within Medway, Kent. You must be registered with Social Work England to apply for this role.
Purpose of the Job
To work proactively and build relationships with children and families who have been assessed as requiring a statutory intervention using the Signs of Safety practice model. You will be responsible for implementing a child in need or child protection plan with the aim of safely stepping the family down or where required, escalating to legal proceedings.
To be competent in all areas of the PCF at Social Worker level and The Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS) for approved child and family practitioners.
Role Details
- Up to £40,567 per annum + £2,500 market premia + £3,000 retention payment paid annually after 1 years’ service
Requirements
- Successful completion of ASYE year together with two years’ experience of working with children and families
- Working towards Practice Educator (Stage 1 and 2) (desirable)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Proven experience in the use of ‘Signs of Safety’ or a willingness to be trained
- Ability to use advanced theoretical/practical/procedural/ organisational /policy knowledge across a specialist area
- Ability to demonstrate awareness of legislation relating to General Data Protection Regulations and Freedom of Information
- Car driver and daily use of a car for business purposes
