We are currently working with Worcestershire County Council that are looking for several Family Support Workers to work across various teams across the county.
Purpose of the Post
Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Support Worker looking for a new challenge? I’m currently looking for Family Support Workers to deliver excellent social work and family support with the most vulnerable children, young people and families. You need to have a minimum of 6 months relevant experience in Family Support role, and ideally to hold a qualification in Family Support (Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young). Responsibilities
- Work within a team of social workers working to support and safeguard our most vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
- Work with families, providing advice and support to strengthen their parenting and promote the safety and welfare of children and young people living within the family.
- Engage and support the most vulnerable to fully understand their day to day lived experience to determine their wishes and feelings.
- Work as an effective supportive team member prioritising the needs of children and their families
Qualifications
- UK Driving license (with use of own vehicle)
- Professional qualification relevant to work with children and families at NVQ level 3 or above
- Literacy, English, Writing and Numeracy Level 3 or above
